MAIO
Blue
This audiovisual project explores states of consciousness and how they can be activated through sound and image. Meditation is approached as a space of suspension, where thought slows down and perception expands.
Starting from the notion of blue as an immaterial and sensory field, the work investigates how this dimension can be translated beyond the visual. Research into the physical phenomenon responsible for the blue color of the sky — the scattering of light in the atmosphere — reinforces the idea that blue does not exist within the object itself, but emerges from the relationship between light, space, and perception.
From this understanding, an audiovisual piece with a meditative progression was developed, structured around different stages associated with blue, expanding from the terrestrial to the cosmic. The project proposes a sensory translation of the immaterial, in which sound and image operate as conduits for a state of suspension and contemplation.
