UNCONSCIOUS CONSCIOUS
This installation emerges from the act of falling asleep, a gesture that demands a surrender of control, a voluntary dissolution of the self between two states of being.
The work explores the threshold between wakefulness and sleep as a psychological and physical condition: the body stilled, the mind suspended, exposed and vulnerable in a space it cannot fully inhabit or abandon. In this liminal territory, presence and absence become indistinguishable.
The installation proposes an experience of this heaviness, not as rest, but as a state of unresolved tension. A dense and silent in-between, where something persists in watching, though it remains uncertain whether that gaze belongs to consciousness or to what has already drifted away.
